How this is written
The rules, the translation, the disclosure about the narration, and the address that reaches a person.
Some questions do not have easy answers. Why does God allow suffering? Does the Bible endorse slavery? What happens to people who never heard? People have wrestled with these for centuries, and they deserve better than a slogan.
So that is what happens here. One hard question per page. The objection is stated first, in its strongest form — the way someone who actually believes it would put it — and then gets the most honest answer the evidence supports. Scripture is quoted exactly and labelled. Where sincere Christians disagree, that is said out loud. Where the text simply does not tell us, that is said too.
What you will not find: outrage, “what they don’t want you to know”, or a hard question flattened into an easy one. If an answer needs a caveat, it gets a caveat.
The rules this site holds itself to
The objection goes first, and it gets more room than the answer. On every answer page the second section is the objection, set in a different typeface, at a larger size, on the opposite colour ground to the rest of the page. That is not decoration. If you scroll one of these pages without reading a word, the heaviest thing on it should be the case against.
The objection is written as its best advocate would put it, not as a straw version that is easy to knock down. Where a page cannot state the objection in a form a thoughtful sceptic would sign off on, the page is not ready.
Scripture is quoted exactly, and the translation is named. Every verse on this site is the World English Bible, which is in the public domain. That choice has a practical consequence worth understanding: because the WEB is not under copyright, whole surrounding paragraphs can be printed here. A site using a modern copyrighted translation is contractually capped at fragments, which is exactly the wrong constraint for a site whose main argument is that fragments mislead.
The build for this site strips punctuation from every quoted passage and compares the remaining words against the source before it will publish. A typographic pass may change a quotation mark. It may never change, add or remove a word.
Where the World English Bible reads oddly to someone used to another version — it prints the divine name as “Yahweh” where most English Bibles print “the LORD” — that is noted on the page rather than quietly smoothed.
Where the answer stops is stated as confidently as the answer. Every answer page has a section headed What the text does not tell us. It is not a disclaimer at the bottom. It is a numbered section in the same sequence as the rest, and on several pages it is the most useful part.
Disagreement is named, not averaged. Where Christians hold genuinely different positions on something a page touches, the positions are named, given equal space and equal weight, and where this site holds a view it says that it is this site’s view. Presenting a live dispute as settled is the fastest way to lose a reader who knows better. Refusing to land anywhere is the second fastest.
No claimed authority that cannot be checked. No “scholars agree”. No “historians have proven”. No unnamed experts and no invented quotations. Where a scholar is cited they are named, with the work, and the claim is one they actually made.
The narration on the videos is synthetic. The research is not.
The videos this site accompanies use AI-generated narration. The scripts are written by a person, the arguments are made by a person, and every verse is checked against the text by a person before it is recorded.
That is disclosed here, in the channel description, and in the description of every video, because audiences forgive AI production and are right to punish AI deception. No real teacher, living or dead, is imitated or implied anywhere on this channel.
Corrections
Substantive claims on this site are never silently edited. If something here is wrong and it matters, the page is corrected, the correction is dated and given an identifier, the superseded wording is shown struck through, and it is listed permanently at /corrections. That page is currently empty. It exists now, and is linked from the homepage now, so that the absence of corrections is checkable rather than assumed.
If you find an error — a misquoted verse, a misdescribed position, a source that does not say what it is claimed to say — the address below is read.
The videos and the pages
The videos came first. A page here is the part that did not fit in sixty seconds: the objection at full length, the passage in full rather than a clause of it, the disagreements, and the limits.
The written page is the product. Where a video exists it appears near the bottom of the page it belongs to, below the answer, at about the size it is on a phone. Nothing on this site loads a third-party resource or sets a cookie until you deliberately click a video, which is why there is no consent banner to dismiss.
